Bohemian Caress: Borders and Boundaries

The third Bohemian Caress takes place July 8th at Café Montmartre with the theme of “Borders & Boundaries”. Join us as the arts come together for Vancouver’s only interdisciplinary performance series.

Brandon Wint features. Brandon Wint is an Ottawa-based writer and poet who has graced stages and captured audiences across Canada with his unique spoken word performances since 2008. Through his insightful performance pieces, Brandon encapsulates
the subtle and remarkable beauty of the human condition. As part of two Canadian Festival of Spoken Word championship teams, as a solo artist, and as part of The Recipe poetry troupe, Brandon has done over 80 performances over two years, has been a champion of the monthly Capital Slam competition in Ottawa, and had his work recorded and featured on four collaborative albums. Earle Peach, Angelo Renai, Bill McNamara, and Cynthia Oka will also perform spoken word. All spoken word performers will be accompanied by Dex Arizona and Joshua Viau on guitar, Kenn Nakamine on bass, and Neal Miskin on drums.

Norine Braun will perform a solo music set at 7 :30  Liang Ding will paint live throughout the night. And more surprises. Kyle Hawke and Lex Yvette host. Attendees are asked to dress to challenge borders and boundaries. Cover $10, sliding scale for un/underemployed. Bohemian Caress is on the second Sunday of each month at Café Montmartre. Café Montmartre will be offering drink specials specifically for the event.
